The Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) accredits organizations to certify individuals as RESNET Home Energy Survey Professionals or HERS Raters. RESNET certification means that the candidates have qualified to meet RESNET set standards in building an energy efficient industry. Since RESNET sets as an organization sets the national standards by which energy performance and efficiency is measured and certified, these are widely recognized by various organizations related to the government of the US which includes Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency and American finance and mortgage industry.
