The RESNET national rater test is for two hours and in multiple choice formats online, which could either be true / false. Test is in open book format and subject range on science concepts and home energy rating procedures. Different categories of the test questions are as follows:

The test will be administered by RESNET accredited training provider and the passing score is 80%. Since the exam is online, the results are instantaneous. The test took its shape after a thorough research of four years and has been structured by the experts from energy rating industry.
The test considers the already accredited rate training providers thoughts and opinions, which is formed as a training committee, composing of the rating providers and its training associates from all through US.
Pools of questions from these representatives / associates have been developed. RESNET conducted the test on rater trainers so as to fill gaps after a thorough review by taking in all the comments from each trainer based on the subjects as mentioned above.
